On the day that Hurricane Katrina hits New Orleans, elderly Daisy Williams (nee Fuller) is on her deathbed in a New Orleans hospital. At her side is her adult daughter, Caroline. Daisy asks Caroline to read to her aloud the diary of Daisy's lifelong friend, Benjamin Push. Benjamin's diary recounts his entire extraordinary life, the primary unusual attribute of which was his aging backwards, being diagnosed with several aging diseases at birth and thus given petty chance of survival, but who does survive and gets younger with time. Abandoned by his biological father, Thomas Button, later on Benjamin's biological mother died in childbirth, Benjamin was raised by Queenie, a black woman and caregiver at a seniors home. Daisy's grandmother was a resident at that home, which is where she starting time met Benjamin. Although separated through the years, Daisy and Benjamin remain in contact throughout their lives, reconnecting in their forties when in age they finally match upwards. Some of the revelations in Benjamin'due south diary are difficult for Caroline to read, especially as information technology relates to the time past this reconnection between Benjamin and Daisy, when Daisy gets older and Benjamin grows younger into his childhood years. —Huggo

Exercise You Still Wish Yous Could Turn Dorsum the Clock?
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was a near ballsy film in most the same way Forrest Gump was. I am not especially a fan of David Fincher and his work. Nonetheless I strongly admired The Curious Example of Benjamin Button. This motion-picture show is virtually a man named Benjamin Button who leads much of an ordinary life under not so ordinary circumstances. The ane thing that separates him from whatsoever other human being beingness is that he ages backwards. Despite such large differences between the audience and Benjamin Button, the film finds a style to connect with a large diversity of people in a way that does not seem to happen then often.
The interim was very skillful throughout the movie. Especially that of Cate Blanchett who seems to be turning out one neat performance subsequently another. She plays the role of Daisy, Benjamin Button's existent love interest from start to finish. In fact she played and then well it might have been a partial downfall to the movie. Her performance out shined that of the main character, played by Brad Pitt. Although Pitt was very solid in his functioning I do not believe he deserved an Oscar nomination (rather Blanchett deserved ane) for his role of playing Benjamin Push button. He was not a necessity to the movie and did not add much to information technology. He was not bad only he wasn't spectacular. Throughout though many of the different actors and actresses lit upwardly the screen. Especially Tilda Swinton who was wonderful to sentry every bit Button'due south short lived dearest interest. Her presence was magical and a joy to sentry. I would have loved to see just a little bit more of her character.
The directing of David Fincher in The Curious Case of Benjamin Push was of what I believe to be his all-time work to date. The screenplay of Eric Roth was written very well as he has had experience with these type of movies. In many scenes the dialog and swell direction combined for some epic scenes.
Ultimately I enjoyed this movie very much only something felt missing from the movie. Something seemed left implied that was vital. I felt that the great downfall to this pic was that Brad Pitt didn't requite an astonishing functioning and did not take control of the movie rather Blanchett stole the evidence from him which made Button seem less important to me. Despite that though information technology this movie was washed very well and I would recommend it to all. Its an important story that makes us self reflect and think deeply. It displays how we need to live with our mistakes considering they are part of our life. Nosotros need to appreciate what we have rather than wonder "what if...?".
